Chennai: Amidst the calls for the inquiry into the dual nativity certificates issue, as many as 422 students who had studied in other states got selected in MBBS course under state quota this year with nativity certificates. Parents of these students, natives of the state, had migrated to other states due to transfers and other reasons. 

This is the first time that the Tamil Nadu students from other states were admitted in big numbers as the admission was based on Neet marks.
