NIA allows arrested ISIS men to celebrate Eid

During the grilling, it came to light that the five suspects had stayed in a lodge at Anantapur a few months ago to procure weapons.

Hyderabad: The five men, who were arrested by NIA in connection with the ISIS conspiracy, were given a respite on Thursday from regular interrogation due to Ramzan.

The NIA had arrested the five men, Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani alias Ibbu, Habeeb Mohammed alias Sir, Mohammed Ilyas Yazdani, Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Amoodi and Muzaffar Hussain Rizwan last month and had taken them into custody on July 1 for 12 days. They are kept at a secret location in Shamirpet. During the grilling, it came to light that the five suspects had stayed in a lodge at Anantapur a few months ago to procure weapons.

Besides NIA, all other agencies like the IB, RAW, Maharashtra’s ATS and other agencies have also grilled them.

All the five men were brought to Hyderabad from Anantapur on Thursday.  NIA allowed two relatives to visit each of the arrested men at the Shamirpet NIA campus.

However, NIA did not allow the relatives to give them home food. But, they gave a chance to the relatives to prepare food at the NIA campus. The NIA officials provided material and ingredients for making Biryani and Shirkurma.
