Mysuru: Sunil Bose who was responsible for the suspension of two police officials last week, has landed in a fresh controversy after he reportedly used the car of the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Company (Chescom) MD for his travel needs. Mr Bose is the son of Public Works Minister Dr H.C. Mahadevappa, a close confidante of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Mr Bose is said to have used the Chescom MD’s car to meet Mysuru deputy commissioner Shikha Wednesday evening. Initially, it was suspected that Bose had been to the DC to strike a compromise over the controversy involving a Congress activist Marigowda who was involved in a tiff with Ms Shikha.  However the DC clarified that he had come to discuss the acquisition of farmers’ land for widening of Bannur road. A meeting has been fixed with the farmers next Wednesday.

It may be recalled that T Narsipur Sub Inspector Shivanna was suspended and inspector at ACB, Chamarajnagar inspector Raghavendra Gowda was relieved from his posting recently after a photograph went viral, in which the duo were seen lifting Mr Bose on their shoulders.

Also, Mr  Bose and  his friend Raju were served notices to attend court proceedings on  July 4 related to a corruption case in the third additional district and sessions court. However on Monday, he filed an application for extension of time and the court directed him to attend the proceedings on July 21.  This case pertains to a government tender for sand mining in T Narsipur taluk.
