Thiruvananthapuram: CPM central committee member and former minister E. P. Jayarajan's daughter-in-law Sangeetha has been appointed as HR manager of AISATS, an airport ground handling agency.

AI-SATS is a joint venture between Air India and Singapore Airport Terminal Services carrying out ground handling services at various airports, including Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. Air India recently nominated AI-SATS as the ground handling agency for upcoming Kannur International Airport.

Mr Jayarajan told DC that Ms Sangeetha was appointed by AI-SATS as she had enough experience and qualification.

"She had worked with Emirates Airlines in Dubai for many years. Now my son and family decided to relocate to Kerala. Hence She applied for the job at AISATS, and she got it," he said.

AI-SATS said in a statement: “AISATS follows a strict code of ethics in our professional conduct and business practices. We follow a merit-based recruitment policy wherein the final selection is based on the right fit of candidature and necessary skill sets for the job.”
