Chief Minister Siddaramaiah strongly rebutted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's charges of corruption on Monday.  "What proof do they have? What do they mean by saying I have accepted a Watch as a gift for what, in return? The man who presented it to me is on record. He has released a signed affidavit that he bought the watch in a store in Dubai, and presented it to me. I have absolutely nothing more to do with it."

On being photographed with Vijay Ishwaran a known offender. Firstly why have they waited for five years before bringing it up. I went to China in 2013, for a World Economic Forum meet where I met many people. I don't know this man, I've never met him before. I have not met him since. Where is the question of any links. He's a stranger. "
