Poll code violations: 56 cases in Thanjai in 2 days

Thanjavur: Police have registered 56 cases against political parties including the DMK and AIADMK for violation of the election model code of conduct (MCC) in Thanjavur district so far.

With the code coming into effect, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced that posters, graffiti and flex boards already put up by political parties should be removed.
