KOZHIKODE: The "national expedition" of Sunni Students Federation (Kanthapuram) concluded here on Thursday drawing students from various parts of the state, a press release said.

Kanthapuram A.P.  Aboobacker Musliyar, the general secretary of All India Sunni Scholars' Association who inaugurated the conference, said "the government should concentrate on developmental activities and issues of ordinary people.

"A country will not develop meaningfully unless the living standards of people improve," he said.

SSF national president Shoukath Naeemi said that strengthening the community both educationally and morally will help achieve prosperous future for Muslims.
Sayyid Ali Bafaqi Thangal offered opening prayers while Kerala state general secretary A.P. Muhammed Ashar welcomed the gathering presided over by Kerala Muslim Jama'at general secretary Sayyid Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari. Ponmala Abdul Qadir Musliyar delivered the keynote address.

Kerala Haj Committee Chairman C. Muhammed Faizy, SYS Kerala State President Sayyid Thaha Thangal Saqafi, Vice presidents AP Abdul Hakeem Azhari, Sayyid Muhammed Thurab Saqafi and SSF Kerala State President CK Rashid Bukhari felicitated the programme.
