Hyderabad: Union minister and state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy said that the party’s fight will be with the Congress as the BRS was irrelevant in the Lok Sabha elections. Stating that the BRS has no relevance even in Telangana state, Kishan Reddy said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate several developmental programmes.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said, “The party in-charges, observers, convenors, joint convenors and MLAs met on Monday and decided to concentrate on the ensuing general elections. A majority of youth is looking towards the BJP and we will go all-out to bring them into our fold. They are approaching us on social media. With the appointment of parliamentary in-charges all our efforts would be intensified across mandals and villages with the slogan ‘phir ek baar Modi sarkar’. The campaign will be taken up after Sankranti.”

Explaining what he called flip-flops of the Congress, he said, “Congress leaders are indulging in personal attacks on me for asking explanations on issues concerning the people. They spoke of the BJP and BRS electoral alliance. The Congress had sought a CBI inquiry against BRS irregularities while in the opposition. Why are they not seeking the probe now?”

Commemorating Ayodhya Ram Mandir’s consecration on January 22, he said that they will conduct Swacch Abhiyan from Sankranti to January 22 wherein each leader will visit a temple, Kishan Reddy said.

The party is making efforts to air the telecast of the consecration ceremony to all villages. The event is also being showcased on Times Square in New York. The producers of the film ‘Hanuman’ are donating Rs five from each ticket to the temple in Ayodhya, he said.
