Congress poll aspirants in a state of confusion

TPCC leaders promised former minister Vanama Venkateswara Rao the Assembly ticket for Kothagudem.

Khammam: Though High Command has promised to allocate tickets for each Assembly segment, Congress aspirants are still tensed about getting party tickets. The twists and turns among ‘Mahakutami’ parties (those involved in grand alliance) has led to agony.

TPCC leaders promised former minister Vanama Venkateswara Rao the Assembly ticket for Kothagudem. But CPI is insisting for it and the party has not shown hesitation to snap ties with the Congress for the seat. TPCC leadership is trying to appease the CPI leadership on this. Vanama will be at peace only after he obtains ‘B’ form from the Congress.

Vaddiraju Ravichandra, who is an aspirant of Khammam ticket from the Congress, is still confident of getting it, though it was promised to TD and Nama Nageswara Rao, a candidate from Mahakutami.

Kandala Upender Reddy, Congress aspirant from Palair, is tensed about getting the party ticket. Former MLC Potla Nageswara Rao was asked to contest from Palair. Chimala Venkateswarlu is in the forefront from Yellandu and he had confidence of getting the Congress ticket. But, he will be relieved from tension only once his name will be announced. So is the case of Rega Kantha Rao of Pinapaka. He is confident of getting the Congress ticket and will be freed only after his name is announced. Krishnababu and Krishnamohan are vying for ticket in Bhadrachalam.

There is a chance of coming of for Congress candidate from other segments. They will be relieved from tension only after announcing the Congress list.
