Woman donates land to TSRTC

Hyderabad: A senior citizen named P. Varalaxmamma of Gummadivelli village in Ranga Reddy district donated 120 square yards of land worth Rs 5 lakh on Monday to TSRTC for constructing a bus stand. The land is located on the Srisailam main road. Varalaxmamma’s husband P. Panduranga Reddy handed over the land documents to transport minister P. Mahender Reddy.

The minister said the TSRTC needed similar donations. “Nizamabad MP Kavita is providing Rs 20 lakh from her funds to develop bus stops. Similarly, some other MLAs, MLCs and MPs are providing funds. The land given by Varalaxm-amma will be used for the construction of a bus shelter and shops, he said.
