Finally, case filed against Karnataka BJP MP

Hubballi: Police officials on Friday, booked a case against Uttara Kannada BJP MP Anant Kumar Hegde for assaulting doctors alleging their negligence in providing treatment to his mother who had suffered a leg fracture after a fall in her house. 

The police initiated the move following a direction from  home minister Dr G. Parameshwar. 

The police had waited for three days for the injured doctors to lodge a complaint against the BJP leader. Finaly a suo motu case was lodged by the cops against Mr Hegde on Thursday night based on the CCTV footage as the doctors refused to file a complaint after a compromise with the MP who had tendered an apology. 

Sirsi deputy superintendent of police Nagesh Shetty said  an FIR was registered against the MP and Uttar Kannada BJP general secretary Krishna Esale under  relevant IPC sections  and Karnataka Prohibition of Violence Act against medicare service personnel.
