Telangana State Human Rights Commission seeks report on dengue-affected bonkal

Five medical teams from Telangana are being sent to Khammam to identify the causes of dengue.

Hyderabad: The State Human Rights Commission has ordered TS Chief Secretary to submit a report on the measures taken for the victims of dengue and steps to prevent the outbreak in Bonakal mandal in Khammam district, which has claimed 16 lives.

The commission was hearing a petition filed by TJAC chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram.

Mr Kodandaram had approached the commission seeking directions to the government to take immediate measures to prevent further deaths due to dengue.
