Forest Minister's car hits 2 women in Kollam

The incident happened when they were trying to cross the road at Puvanpuzha around 3 p.m.

Kollam: The speeding car of  Forest Minister K. Raju knocked down a woman and a girl on the National Highway near  Ramankulangara here on Wednesday afternoon.  Sindhu, 38, of Kalarikkad, Ramankulangara, and Silpa Das, 15, of S.S. Nivas, Chathannoor, escaped with minor injuries on their head and limbs as  they fell on the road. They were  treated at the district hospital here. The incident happened when they were trying to cross the road  at Puvanpuzha around 3 p.m. The minister, who was heading towards Kollam after attending a programme at Karunagappally, visited  the two in the hospital and left for Thiruvananthapuram in another car.
