HYDERABAD: The state government on Tuesday opened the process for BC vocational communities to apply for financial assistance for Rs 1 lakh aid. The state Cabinet cleared the assistance on May 25.

Launching the website https://tsobmmsbs.cgg.gov.in where individuals can apply for financial assistance, BC welfare minister Gangula Kamalakar said the process has been made simple with an easy form to fill in.

The disbursal of the financial assistance will be for the most backward castes among the BC communities and is expected to begin on June 9 as part of the Telangana welfare celebrations, which is part of the state government’s 21-day events marking a decade of state formation.

It may be recalled that at the May 25 Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the government had said that government was committed to protecting the traditional occupations of the BC communities.
