Hyderabad: Falaknuma police station Circle Inspector K. Srinivasa Rao is facing criticism from some quarters after a video of him wearing a skull cap while on duty and conveying Id greetings to Muslims. The objection was that he was in uniform and so the skull cap was in violation of norms.
However, some comments said that the 14-second video that went viral on Wednesday should be overlooked as his intension was purely to greet the community.
In the video, the inspector is seen seated at the police station wearing a white cap, and he begins with: “Assalamualaikum, I, K. Srinivas Rao, circle inspector of Falaknuma police station, on behalf of the entire staff and myself wish the community Id Mubarak.”
