Hyderabad High Court stays appointments to Telangana Transco

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has directed the Telangana State Public Service Commission not to make appointments till June 5 pursuant to the notifications issued to recruit staff nurses, civil assistant surgeons and engineers in TS Transco by giving weightage marks to contract and out sourcing employees in appointments.

The petitioners submitted that the law does not permit to award weightage marks to contract staff as it would hamper the chances of direct candidates.
