New areas in Hyderabad to get water lines

Around 1.75 lakh residents belonging to 26 villages will be supplied drinking water from the Water Board in a month.

Hyderabad: Around 1.75 lakh residents belonging to 26 villages such as Jawahernagar, Chennapur, Dammaiguda, Rampally, Kundanpally, RL Nagar, Timmayapally, will be supplied drinking water from the Water Board in a month. The board is completing the junction works with the 300-mm diameter water supply pipeline.

The feasibility study for this area  is completed and the director (technical) has told the executive engineer of RWS department to install water meters on each off-take before release of water. “Instructions have been given to the field staff to complete all the junction works as early as possible so as to provide drinking water during this month. Once the work is completed about 1.75 lakh people can be supplied drinking water,” said Water Board  managing director B. Janardhan Reddy.
