Thiruvananthapuram: The state is integrating all the IT parks in the state and Mr  Hrishikesh Nair, who is already heading the Thiruvananthapuram Technopark and Kochi Infopark,  has been given charge of all of them. According to government sources, integrating all IT parks is a key component of the LDF's IT policy to be released soon. Bringing the IT parks under one umbrella would help more effective marketing of the facilities.  “Instead of marketing the state's IT infrastructure as separate units, it would be better to market the entire facilities together,” said  sources.

Mr. Nair, a product of IIT Kharagpur,   has also been heading the Technocity and IT Parks in Kollam, Cherthala and Koratty. He has been given the charge of the Kozhikode Cyberpark at a time when the first-phase building of nearly three lakh square feet IT space is almost ready for commissioning. He will also be in charge of Kasargod and Kannur IT parks. Mr. Nair  has been serving as Infopark chief executive officer since 2013. Though he offered to quit in 2016, the LDF government gave him the additional charge of the Technopark and now all the IT parks in the state.
