Vijayawada: The Board of Intermediate Education has announced extension of the deadline for payment of examination fees for both first and second-year Intermediate students who had previously failed or discontinued their studies. This extension allows them to appear for the Intermediate Public Examinations scheduled for March 2024, with the new deadline set for November 30.

In a statement issued by BIE secretary Saurabh Gaur, it was noted that the state government has granted permission for the re-admission of students who did not pass their Class X and Inter examinations. This initiative aims to achieve a 100 per cent gross enrollment ratio and comes with specific guidelines for the re-admission process.

Under these guidelines, students who are re-admitted must take all subjects in the Intermediate Public Examinations. In cases where a student appears for these exams more than once, the higher of the two sets of marks obtained will be considered. The certificates issued to these students will not include categories like fail, compartmental, private or star marks. Instead, all students, whether they passed on their first attempt or upon re-admission, will receive the same pass certificate without any differentiation.

Furthermore, all re-admitted students will be eligible for entitlements such as Jagananna Ammavodi, Jagananna Vidya Kanuka, Jagananna Gorumudda and other benefits based on their eligibility.
