Nellore: The state government has been planning to establish cyber police wings in Vijayawada, Vishakapatnam, Guntur  and Tirupati to deal with Cyber crimes and white collar crimes.

The government has also been mulling over filling 2,000 to 3,000 vacant posts in the department, besides offering promotions to constables.

Lambasting the Maoists for their recent attack in the agency areas, the Home Minister said that security is being tightened at Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) and that the Police authorities have been investigating the case and keeping a close tab on the activities of the Maoists.

Stating that the investigation is nearing completion, he said that the role played by some persons will be exposed soon.

The Home Minister said that they have already appointed 6,000 police personnel and efforts are underway for another round of recruitment drive as part of the Chief Minister’s plan to offer 20,000 jobs to the youth.
