Bengaluru's traffic police and Ola cabs join hands to spread awareness

The awareness programme was part of celebrating 'Road Safety Month' and to increase awareness among the cab and auto drivers.

The city traffic police along with Ola cab service conducted an awareness programme regarding the importance of road safety and an eye check-up camp for driver-partners and their families.

Bengaluru: The city traffic police along with Ola cab service conducted an awareness programme regarding the importance of road safety and an eye check-up camp for  driver-partners and their families on Saturday afternoon. 

The awareness programme was part of celebrating 'Road Safety Month' and to increase awareness among the cab and auto drivers and to  provide free eye-care consultation and prescription glasses at subsidized prices for driver-partners and their families. 

DCP Traffic East Anupam Agrawal said that cab and auto drivers are an integral part of the city’s public transport system and it is imperative to build better awareness about road safety in them. Periodic eye check-ups are important for every person driving on the road, to ensure our roads are safe. 

A.M. Iktear Uddin, Head - Law Enforcement & Compliances, Ola, said, “As India's leading mobility platform, it is our aim to promote healthy living and safe driving amongst our driver partners. We curated a comprehensive eye check-up for all driver-partners in an accessible format at Ola Partner World.
