Visakhapatnam: The full-dress rehearsals held at the RK Beach area, as part of the IFR, left Vizagites awestruck on Thursday.

The contingents from the Indian Navy, Army, Air Force, State Police, NCC, foreign navies and marching bands captivated the audience with each participating foreign navy showcasing its cultural heritage and marching under their respective national colours.

The breathtaking fly-past demonstration by different types of aircrafts, including helicopters, depicted the capabilities of the Indian Navy. The skydivers, descending on the beach area from the sky, had received huge applause from the audience.

As the district administration announced a holiday for the schools on Thursday, the district collector himself requested the Vizagites to avail the opportunity to witness one of the best moments  ahead of the original show, thousands of Vizagites thronged the RK Beach.

Many little children, accompanied by their parents, were seen at the rehearsals. With people pouring in huge numbers, there was a traffic jam near the Park Hotel.
