Hyderabad: Police to give protection to staff at work

The police said that employees who are willing to resume their duties need not worry, as sufficient security would be provided to them at every depot under the supervision of an officer of inspector rank.

Hyderabad: Assuring the employees of Road Transport Corporation of providing protection if they are willing to join duty, the state police warned the agitators of stern action if they resort to any acts of violence, or prevent employees from reporting to work.

The unit heads of all the districts in the State on Sunday issued an advisory to all potential trouble-mongers, who are planning to disrupt RTC services, run by private drivers.

The police said that employees who are willing to resume their duties need not worry, as sufficient security would be provided to them at every depot under the supervision of an officer of inspector rank.

Any person resorting to violent acts like damaging public property, preventing employees keen on joining duties or attacking hired drivers would be booked under the relevant sections of law and arrested. The cases will be tried in fast track courts for speedy trial and conviction, said police officials.
