Telangana: Three die of electrocution

A 30-year-old farmer died of electric shock in Ranga Reddy district and was identified as J. Srinivas.

Hyderabad: Three persons, including two farmers, died due to an electric shock in three separate incidents on Tuesday.

A 30-year-old farmer died of electric shock in Ranga Reddy district and was identified as J. Srinivas.

Srinivas, hailing from Kadmuru village had taken his herd of  sheep for grazing and was returning home when he came into contact with electric cables which were snapped from an electric pole.He died on the spot.

Other farmers noticed his body and alerted his wife. Srinivas is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.

In another incident in Medak, a 50-year-old farmer died due to an electric shock. He is identified as Kurma Swamy.  Swamy went to the field on Tuesday morning and accidentally came into contact with a high tension cable and died on the spot. 

A 19-year-old degree student, son of a farmer, died of an electric shock in Suryapet district on Tuesday evening. 

The boy was identified as M. Sandeep, a resident of Nagaram mandal. 

Villagers staged a protest on the Medak-Hyderabad highway, alleging negligence on the part of the electricity deparment.
