Kozhikode: A Central Government Health Scheme( CGHS) wellness centre for central government employees and pensioners will function temporarily in the CPWD building,  Kalllayi, as per the order of Central Urban Housing Programme secretary, informed M.K. Raghavan, MP, in a press release.

Details of central government employees were submitted to the Union health ministry by Mr Raghavan recently.

Though the project was approved earlier in 2016, the order was issued only recently. But due to lack of an appropriate building, it was further delayed.

He also added that along with allopathy, ayurveda, homeopathy, unani also will be facilitated in the future.  Kozhikode being a tier-two city is the first one to be granted with CGHS centre by the health ministry.
