Hyderabad: Exasperated Outer Ring Road (ORR) commuters have been complaining about the ongoing road digging as taken up by the HMDA at all the 19 interchanges/toll plazas along the expressway.

Mr Ankith Kapadia, who commutes to his office in Gachibowli from Shamshabad every day, said that the roads at both the toll plazas have been dug vertically and that when he inquired with the staff at the toll plazas, they instructed him to contact the HMDA headquarters. “After waiting patiently for 15 minutes at the tolls plazas, commuters have no option other than to make the bumpy rides on the expressway,” Mr Kapadia said.

Echoing his concern, Mr Deepak Lahoti urged the HMDA to restore the roads at the earliest as they have been posing a threat to commuters. “We do not expect roads to be dug on an expressway which allows a 100 kmph speed limit. Would the authorities be patient with us if we’d violate speed regulations or drive past the toll plazas without paying?”
