Andhra Pradesh: Land pooling scheme package in two days

Guntur: The state government is considering to pay good package to assigned lands and islands under the land pooling scheme (LPS.)

The CRDA conducted an awareness meeting in Uddandarayunipalem of the capital region on Wednesday. Addressing the meeting, Tadikonda MLA T. Sravankumar said that he is asking AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to provide a good package to assigned and islands which would be pooled by the CRDA for new capital Amaravati establishment.

He said that the patta and Jareebu lands are getting good package under the LPS. Hence, he is working to provide similar package of the patta lands to assig-ned/lanka lands. He assured about providing free education, employment, houses and pension to all eligible public of capital region villages.

Joint collector Ch. Sridhar said that the notification about package for assigned/lanka lands is likely to be issued in two days and appealed to landowners and farmers to cooperate with the CRDA by offering the lands under LPS.

Mentioning about the demolition of Christian burial ground during Amaravati foundation ceremony, the locals demanded construction of the burial ground.

Mr Sridhar said that already the issue was taken to the notice of Mr Naidu and he ordered to construct a modern graveyard and assured the locals about availability of a burial ground.
