Hyderabad: TDP and YSRCP cadres clashed at Pulivendula ahead of Chandrababu Naidu's visit to Pulivendula as a part of 'Saguneeti Projectula Vidhwamsampai Yudhhabheri' tour with state's unfinished irrigation project sites itinerary. Police reached the site of clash promptly and with restricted baton charges could disperse the clashing cadres of both parties and contain the clash before it could escalate any further.

However, the situation continues to be tense in view of the denial of permission by the police for Naidu's event slated for Wednesday evening at Pulivendula.

However, his event at Jammalamadugu was uninterrupted, where addressing the public he charged the YSRCP government of not making any progress on the work done by TDP government on the irrigation projects in the state. He further observed that while his government had spent around 12000 crores on the irrigation projects in Rayalseema, present YSRCP government has only spent 2000 crores and is frittering away the funds earmarked for development initiatives in the critical sectors of State's economy to short term electoral gains.
