Telangana: Private degree colleges to boycott second semester exams

Hyderabad: Private degree colleges have decided to boycot second semester exams for undergraduate students set to commence in different universities over the next week.  They have put forward a list of demands including increase of tuition fees, postponement of online admissions until end of Eamcet first counselling or withdrawing from the process.

The colleges association comprising of about 1,000 colleges held a meeting on Tuesday after which this decision was announced.

However, the immediate impact would be felt by students of the Telangana University since exams are set to start from Wednesday onwards.  In Kakatiya University, the exams are set to commence from Friday. Meanwhile, it is learnt that online admission process for UG courses is likely to be taken up by the Higher Education Council after May 25.
