Mancherial newborn is serious

It is learnt that the doctors asked the family to arrange blood to extract platelets to administer to the newborn.

Mancherial: Gudimallu Rajagattu and Sona’s newborn infant’s health condition was reportedly serious as the baby was facing a big decrease in platelet count.

The newborn was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mancherial. Sona died after giving birth to the baby and her husband had predeceased her. A total of four members of the baby’s family have died of dengue. Sona's funeral was held in Mancherial on Thursday.

It is learnt that the doctors asked the family to arrange blood to extract platelets to administer to the newborn.

The doctors collected blood samples from Rajagattu’s parents and his elder son, Sri Vikas, who is seven years old.
