Bangaru Telangana launches today

Hyderabad: Students of government high schools and colleges will be taught about Bangaru Telangana. Unicef and the TS planning department have prepared a module in the name of “our dream, our goal, Bangaru Telangana” which will be launched on Thursday. 

The government is conducting a workshop for 9,000 state employees to explain Bangaru Telangana, who, in turn, will teach others. A senior officer said that the Bangaru Telangana module will be sent to all government high schools and colleges. 

The Bangaru Telangana module has department-wise development schemes and their implementation and steps to achieve Bangaru Telangana.

Students will be taught about government schemes such as Aasara pensions, financial aid to self-help groups among others. The steps include quality education under residential schools, coaching and scholarships for higher studies in foreign universities, pre-metric scholarships and KG to PG education schemes.

The module consists of 17 sustainable development goals ranging from reducing poverty to making sustainable cities.

The module also has objective-type question. There are 10 questions, which award points. If one gets 60 points, he/she is declared passed.
