Two truckers killed in road mishap in Mahbubnagar

Both drivers got stuck in the cabins of their respective trucks.

Hyderabad: Two truck drivers were killed in an accident in Mahbubnagar on Saturday. The mishap occurred when the trucks they were driving collided with each other. The victims were identified as Sharanappa and Sridhar.

Police said Sharanappa, 27, hailing from Bidar district, was working as a driver for Nagaraju Constructions.

He was driving a truck loaded with steel from Shadnagar to Raichur. The other truck loaded with iron ore was coming from Raichur to Hyderabad. Sridhar, 24, was driving this vehicle.

When Sharanappa’s truck reached Marikal in Mahbubnagar district, the other truck crashed into it.

Both drivers got stuck in the cabins of their respective trucks. The police had to call two JCBs to clear the debris of the vehicles from the road. Sridhar died on the spot, police said.

Sharanappa died of his injuries while being shifted to a hospital nearby.
