Thiruvananthapuram: CPI calls for strict action

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI is annoyed over growing cases of custodial torture and wa-nts the government to rein in the erring cops. The CPI leadership is to raise the matter in the next LDF meeting.

Such custodial excesses would hamper the efforts to regain people support after defeat in Lok Sabha polls. Police atrocities are also casting a shadow over the good work being done by the government, said CPI leadership.
