Good response to re-run of Sivaji Ganesan’s grand love flick

The members of the Sivaji film club distributed sweets and tree saplings to the film lovers who came to watch the movie at one of the theatres.

TIRUCHY: The digitsed 2K reprint of the thespian Sivaji Ganesan’s yesteryear’s movie “Vasanthamaligai”, which was screened in as many as 100 theatres across Tamil Nadu, evoked a tremendous response among the film fans especially the fans of late veteran actor.

S. Annadurai, president of the Sivaji Film Club, Tiruchy told DC that the movie ‘Vasanthamaligai’ a fantastic love story which was released in 1972, had a dream run for continuously 750 days across Tamil Nadu and the fans of those days repeatedly watched the movie several times.

Mr. Annadurai, who is also president of the Tiruchy district ‘Sivaji Fans Narpani Sangam’ also informed that the movie is running  in two theatres in Tiruchy city for the last two weeks and on Sunday, the members of the Sivaji film club distributed sweets and tree saplings to the film lovers who came to watch the movie at one of the theatres.
