Provide justice to Dalits: Kamalamma

Rajahmundry: National Commission for Scheduled Castes member P.M. Kamalamma assured to take up inquiry and provide justice to the Dalits. The SC panel member arrived here on Sunday and reviewed the progress of inquiry of cases related to atrocities and harassment against the SCs with the district officials.
Speaking on the occasion, she said the district administration was instructed to carry out the inquiry on SC cases and provide justice to the victims. With regard to the case of suicide by Yadla Chinna hailing from Patha Thungapadu of Rajanagaram mandal in East Godavari on land dispute issue, she directed the district authorities to provide relief to the family members of the victim in 15 days.
Collector H. Arun Kumar said that they would take up proper inquiry in all pending cases booked under the provisions of SC and ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act and provide justice to victims in coordination with the police.The panel member visited the city based on a request forwarded by the former MP G.V.
