Hyderabad: Although three months have passed since he died, Polasa Santhosh Kumar’s body is still lying in a Saudi Arabian morgue. Polasa Santosh Kumar, 33, hailed from Nizambad, and was working for the Al Majal Service Master Company at Jeddah. He died on December 10, 2016 due to high fever, hypertension and heart failure. Santhosh Kumar, who went to Saudi Arabia in August 2016, never had any health problems earlier. Though his 29-year-old wife Polasa Bhavana knows of her husband's death, his two sons, 5-year-old Ratan and 1-year-old Sidhesh, are not aware of that.

Coalition of Overseas Telangana Association (COTA) president Bheem Reddy has registered a complaint with the MADAD grievance cell after learning about Santhosh Kumar. The grievance cell said that Santhosh did not inform emigrate Services before going abroad. Amballa Shyam, 50, the brother-in-law of Santhosh Kumar said, “We were shocked when we heard that Santhosh died on December 10 due to high BP, fever and heart failure. It was strange as he never had health issues. He died within a few months of going to Saudi and his body is still there. None of my relatives will ever think of going to Saudi henceforth. Migrants are treated very badly in Saudi Arabia. They don’t even send bodies after death.” “We are not expecting any help from anyone. We just want the body of Santhosh to perform his last rites. His wife is struggling with two small kids. They are asking for their father and her health is deteriorating,” he added.
