Prasada tragedy: Cops gearing up to file objections to bail plea

In fact the  district administration preferred Mysuru instead of  Chamarajanagar for  better access to treatment for 120 devotees who had consumed the prasada laced with poison at Kichuguththi Maramma temple at Sulawadi in Hanur taluk on the 14th of this month.

Mysuru: At last, 18-month-old Mohan, the last patient among 104 people who fell ill after consuming prasada laced with poison at Kichguth Maramma temple at Sulawadi in Chamarajanagar district, has been shifted from the ICU to ward after more than one-and-half months of treatment.

Meanwhile Chamarajanagar district police are preparing to file objections against bail petitions of prime accused of the case, junior seer of Salur Matha Immadi Mahadevaswamy before it comes for hearing at Kollegal Court on February 5.

While the judicial custody of all four accused has been extended to February 12,  a team of advocates from Virajpet in Kodagu has filed a petition for  Immadi Mahadevaswamy’s bail.

The other three accused Ambika, Madesha and Doddaiah are yet to find advocates.
