Anantapur: Activists protest by wearing black shirts

Anantapur: Bandh call by Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samithi demanding special category status for the state was success in Anantapur district.  

The left parties extended support for the bandh as all government offices, banks and Central government offices were remained closed on Friday.  

APSRTC buses were confined to depots following bandh.  Sadhana Samithi leader and CPI district secretary Jagadish lashed out at BJP led centre for cheating Andhra Pradesh over post bifurcation packages listed in the Act.

Mean while, Telugu Desam MLA Suryanarayana of Dharnavaram staged protest by wearing black shirt against centre. “Prime minister Narendra Modi cheated people of the state for his political benefits. Instead of implementing the packages, He did injustice for Andhra Pradesh particularly in Rayalaseema,” he said.
