All India Congress Committee keeps tab on Kerala scams
The high command is keeping a tab of the-day-to-day developments happening in both solar scam as well as on bar scam.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Last Wednesday Saritha S. Nair had raised serious allegations against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy that she had given him a bribe of Rs 1.90 crore.
Though the AICC leadership rallied behind him much to the relief of the Oommen Chandy camp, the high command is keeping a tab of the-day-to-day developments happening in both solar scam as well as on bar scam.
A top AICC leader told DC that they are indeed worried about the current developments happening in the State.
“The next two months are going to be indeed crucial for the UDF,” said a top AICC leader.
“More than the bar scam, it is the solar scam which is of serious nature. With Assembly elections round the corner, the outcome of the solar commission’s enquiry is more crucial.”
Meanwhile, Mr Benny Behanan told DC that certain vested interests have connived together to target those leaders like him who are attached to the chief minister.
“This is nothing but a conspiracy hatched by a certain group of people to tarnish the image of the UDF government. Leaders close to the chief minister like me, Thampanoor Ravi, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan and P. C. Vishnunath have been targeted. By targeting us, they feel that CM would be weakened,” said Mr Behanan.
He clarified that he is a person who would attend all the calls he receives. When Saritha S. Nair called him he listened to her where she spoke to him about how she is being targeted in the solar scam.
