Telugu meet invite for Chandrababu Naidu

The CM held a preparatory meeting for the World Telugu Conference with ministers and officials at Pragathi Bhavan.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday asked officials to ensure the presence of all litterateurs who were working with commitment for the development of Telugu at the World Telugu Conference from December 15 to 19 in the city.

Apart from President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu, prominent Telugu-speaking personalities such as Governors should be invited. Mr Rao said AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu should be invited to the conference. He wanted officials to invite sportstars like Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, P.V. Sindhu and Mithali Raj. Besides Telugu, litterateurs from other recognised Indian langugages should be felicitated during the conference.

The CM held a preparatory meeting for the World Telugu Conference with ministers  and officials at Pragathi Bhavan. Mr Rao said Mr Venkaiah Naidu and Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao would attend the inaugural event and President Kovind would grace the closing ceremony.

The CM approved the stage design to be set up at LB Stadium, the main venue of the conference, and designs for welcome arches to be set up in various locations across the city. He asked officials to set up food stalls serving Telangana cuisine at LB Stadium and organise a laser show highlighting Telugu history, language, culture and traditions.
