Power ministers' conference on November 10, 11

The power ministry has asked all the state governments to submit detailed reports on the energy sector.

Four electrical substations are being established in Nellore city, Kavali and Gudur towns at an estimated cost of Rs 11 crore to put an end to power shutdowns in these urban areas under Integrated Power Development Scheme.

Hyderabad: To discuss on various issues related to the energy sector, the Union power ministry will be holding a power ministers’ conference on November 10 and 11 in Bihar. The power ministry has asked all the state governments to submit detailed reports on the energy sector. 

The conference will discuss issues relating to—24x7 power for all, electricity connection to every household, compliances of renewable purchase obligations, review of solar, wind and hydro power projects, energy efficiency and others. The conference will also share initiatives and best practices by the ministries of power and new and renewable energy as well as by states and union territories.
