Doctors' teams sent to Khammam to identify the causes of dengue
Five medical teams from Telangana are being sent to Khammam to identify the causes of dengue.
Hyderabad: Five medical teams from Telangana are being sent to Khammam to identify the causes of dengue and the treatment being given there by the doctors in the area. A special medical team from Fever Hospital will be stationed at Bonakal where 17 deaths were claimed due to dengue. Health minister Dr Laxma Reddy says, “A house-to-house survey will be conducted in Bonakal, Raviuntala and Govind Puram villages. There will be awareness programmes on spread of the disease. Spraying and fogging will be done every alternate day. Mosquito nets will also be provided.”
The medical teams have been asked to shift the serious cases to the area hospitals in Khammam. The district medical and health officers have been asked to ensure that all patients are given proper treatment.
