Guntur: Guntur is known for heat – whether it’s chillies or the weather — but one young man’s large-heartedness is cool. J. Rajamohan, a gas agency delivery boy, is on a mission to quench the thirst of passersby. He carries cool bottled water on his bike and offers it for free to all who need a sip.

“I used to ask for drinking water from locals while delivering gas refills. One day, three years ago, I decided I would quench other people’s thirst,” Rajamohan said.

“Guntur is very hot during summer. This year, it touched 48 degree Celsius”, he said, adding that it gives him satisfaction when people bless him for his service.

With help from friends and family, he also offers free food to orphans and the elderly every Sunday through the Swachh Hrudayam Charitable Trust.
