21-year-old student electrocuted in Sri Anadal Azhagar engineering college

Chennai: A 21-year-old third year mechanical engineering college student in Sri Anadal Azhagar engineering college in Mamandoor died of electrocution on Saturday.

The police said the victim, Sivasbramanian, staying in the college hostel, came in contact with a live wire on the hostel premises on Saturday evening.

The inmates were getting ready to celebrate hostel day when the incident happened. The college is run by a trust founded by DMDK leader Vijaykanth. The body was later shifted to Chengalpet medical college hospital for post-mortem.
