Kurnool: Alleging that the government order issued according an administrative sanction to LLC, Gundrevula and Vedavathy was a ‘sham’ Congress leader Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy said that unless a concurrence to that effect was sought from the Chief Ministers of Telangana and Karnataka, executing the projects was beyond the capacity of Andhra Pradesh government.

He sought to know from the Chief Minister on what basis he was proceeding to Kurnool to lay the foundation for these projects. He said, Enough is enough. Stop bluffing the people of Seema.

Ridiculing Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy who was chuckling on getting administrative sanction that was supposedly a great boon to the drought hit Seema, Byreddy said that twelve villages in Telangana State would be submerged if Gundrevula project was constructed. About 6,000 acres of land in Telangana and 9,000 acres in Andhra Pradesh would also be submerged, he said.

Was it possible for Mr Naidu to convince Telangana State CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao to bear such a loss?, he questioned. Earlier via GO 277, water was taken to Anantapur from Nagaldinne project.

Around 10 motors with a capacity of 5000 horse power were installed for pumping the water. Mr Byreddy said, First abolish the existing GO.
