Four Brutally Beaten in Aligarh Over Suspected Beef Smuggling; Vehicle Set Ablaze

In Aligarh, four people were brutally beaten on suspicion of beef smuggling. Hindu organizations stopped a vehicle in Alhaddapur, Harduaganj, suspecting it carried beef, and informed the police. The police began investigating and sent samples for testing, promising legal action based on results. Members of Hindu organizations beat the four meat sellers, who were hospitalized. The vehicle was set on fire but later controlled by authorities.
Bajrang Dal members caused a ruckus, demanding action against the police, alleging repeated cow slaughter incidents. Their president, Gaurav Sharma, criticized the administration for inaction, claiming BJP members and local authorities were complicit. He demanded the suspension of involved police within 24 hours, threatening a large protest if unmet, and urged that cow slaughter cease.

Injured meat seller Nadeem, who runs a shop in Atrauli, said he transports meat daily from Aligarh’s meat factory with valid slips. Near Panethi, his car was stopped, he was beaten, and his bill was torn despite attempts to show it. He and his three companions were assaulted, and he hopes for justice.
