Hyderabad: 5 arrested for transporting contraband

The gang were transporting dry ganja from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad in General coach of Visakha Express.

Hyderabad: The railway police arrested five men on Wednesday who were involved in transporting 95 kg ganja and seized drugs worth Rs 14.25 lakh from them. 

They were identified as Pinnapu Reddy Ramana, 20, Gemmala Babuji, 20, Madala Shankar, 30, Kasupilli Nuka Rathnam, 30, and Satha Bindu, 20. 

The gang were transporting dry ganja from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad in General coach of Visakha Express. They were caught while shifting the stash by RPF personnel. “We seized six luggage bags and one trolley containing 46 packets of ganja from them,” said the superintendent of railway police, G. Ashok Kumar.
