Illicit affair: Man electrocutes wife\'s lover to death
Vizianagaram: A man killed another person in the neighbourhood by electrocution on suspicion that he was having a love affair with his wife, police said on Thursday, adding that the woman and her husband have been arrested.
The victim, Govinda Rao (28), was found dead near SR Agraharam village under Santhakaviti police station limits in Vizianagaram district. Rao along with his family had shifted to Vizag city for livelihood some time ago.
Police said he allegedly developed an affair with a married woman from SR Agraharam.
“Recently, Govinda Rao came to his native place to attend a family function. He went missing on Tuesday night and was found murdered on Wednesday night,” police said.
The Santhakaviti police said a police sniffer dog traced the house of the culprits. Preliminary investigations found the woman’s husband Appa Rao came to know about the “affair” recently and decided to kill Govinda Rao with the help of his friends. On Tuesday night, some people including Appa Rao invited Govinda Rao to SR Agraharam for a party. There, they killed him by electrocution, police investigations showed.
The dog also helped police in tracing the implements used for electrocution in the killers’ house.
