Murdered woman's body found in Hyderabad

The face was damaged beyond recognition.

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old woman was found dead at Ibrahimpatnam on Monday. The woman who is suspected to have been strangled with her chunni was killed nearly 10 days ago. The face was damaged beyond recognition.

Police said that on Monday villagers detected a foul smell coming from a hilly area between Indu Engineering College and Sri Chaitanya Engineering College and  found the body of a woman. Police suspect the incident could have happened after Raksha Bandhan last Thursday as the woman had rakhis on her right hand.

"We registered a murder case. We could not find any other clues at the spot," SI S. Nagaraju of Ibrahimpatnam said, adding that details can be known only after autopsy. The body was sent for autopsy.
