Telangana police team nabs ganja smugglers

The police caught the gang at ORR cross Road in Ghatkesar in Cyberabad East limits, officials said.

The arrest was made following a complaint by the presidential media division, police said.

Hyderabad: A four-member gang, who was smuggling ganja from Annavaram to Hyderabad in private buses, was busted on Monday. The gang was planning to sell the drug in Patancheru.

Police said that one K. Sridhar used to buy ganja from Annavaram and Paderu Agency in Vizag. “To bring the weed he takes the help of Laxman and Manikanth. In Hyderabad they sell it to Rathod Ravi, who lives in Patancheru,” said an official.  The police caught the gang at ORR cross Road in Ghatkesar.
 
In Cyberabad East limits, Ravi used to purchase the ganja for Rs 12,000 a kg and then sell it in small sachets to customers. Each sachet is sold for Rs 500.  The police caught the gang at ORR cross Road in Ghatkesar in Cyberabad East limits, officials said.
